3. Client relations: Failure to follow client instructions; failure to obtain client's consent; improper withdrawal; conduct by your attorney that involves substandard and unacceptable legal work, which causes you financial harm.

To win a case against your attorney, a plaintiff must generally prove: the existence of an attorney-client relationship; acts constituting negligence or breach of contract; that such acts proximately caused plaintiff's damages; and without the legal malpractice, the plaintiff would have been successful in the underlying action.
